As the company’s flagship Playa Maya water park, OCT Xi’an incorporates many of ProSlide’s top water rides to help make it one of the country’s leading water parks.
Part of a 213-hectare multi-use development in Peidong New Town of Xi’an’s Xianxin District, OCT Xi’an is the company’s latest addition to their stable of world-class water parks. A 53-hectare theme park accompanies the development and provides some of the entertainment, while the 18-hectare water park is a showcase for many of ProSlide’s most iconic water rides. The water park draws inspiration from Maya civilization with intricate and detailed theming that transports guests into the lush jungles of early Mesoamerica.
Over the course of an 11-year relationship that encompasses 100+ water rides. OCT Xi’an marks the 9th collaboration between OCT and ProSlide and their most ambitious to date. To help fulfill OCT’s vision of a flagship water park that would act as a world-class, international destination, ProSlide curated a cutting-edge ride mix comprised of their best water rides, many of which appeared in China for the first time.
As the flagship Playa Maya park in Western China, OCT looked to bring a number of iconic ProSlide water rides to the region for the first time ever. A pair of TWISTER drop slides make their China debut, while the competitive RallyRACER®, the award-winning Dueling RocketBLAST®/FlyingSAUCER®, and Dueling PIPEline all make their debuts in Asia. Together with numerous other ProSlide water rides, OCT Xi’an’s six complexes successfully set a new standard for water parks in China.
