Opened in 1974, Ocean Breeze Waterpark began with just three mat slides as the only water park in Virginia Beach. Today, the park is home to over 30 water slides, rides, and attractions and is a family destination of choice in Virginia Beach.
ProSlide and Ocean Breeze Waterpark first started working together in 2002 when both companies came together to install Virginia’s first ProBOWL 30. Since then, Ocean Breeze and ProSlide have continued to work together on a total of eight world-class water rides including a MAMMOTH, CannonBOWL, and a TORNADO 12.
As a water park catering to families, Ocean Breeze Waterpark understands the importance of having an iconic group ride for its park. ProSlide’s original MAMMOTH family rafting ride was chosen as that iconic group ride. Sending riders through channels with back-to-back curves, drops, and vortex looks, the MAMMOTH uses accelerating vertical and compound curves to create a dynamic ride from top to bottom.
