Opened in 2007, Chimelong Water Park is the first water park in China to achieve an international level of success.
As part of the Guangzhou Chimelong Tourist Resort, this Chinese water park is one of the most famous in the world. Linked by a bridge to Chimelong Paradise – the neighbouring amusement park – Chimelong Water Park boasts the highest attendance numbers in the world.
After the initial build of the park, Chimelong Group entrusted ProSlide with their next expansion that was aimed at creating all the popular, iconic rides in place at Chimelong Water Park. ProSlide’s iconic TORNADO 60 was a late addition to the expansion plans and has since proven itself to the be most popular ride in the park year after year.
As one of the largest and most popular water parks in China, Chimelong Water Park sought out marquee water rides for its property that would attract guests, that would differentiate while also providing high entertainment value. By bringing the first TORNADO 60, BehemothBOWL 60, and KIDZ TORNADO 24 to the country, Chimelong established differentiation in their market by creating an exclusive experience. These three iconic water rides are instantly recognizable and offer one-of-a-kind experiences that cannot be duplicated.
