Opened in 2008, Zoombezi Bay is Columbus Zoo’s outdoor water park, consistently ranked as one of the top water parks in the Midwest. Known for its family-friendly atmosphere, Zoombezi Bay offers a variety of attractions, from relaxing lazy rivers to adrenaline-pumping slides. The park is connected to nature, featuring pollinator gardens and conservation-themed areas that tie into the zoo’s environmental mission.

Relationship

ProSlide and Zoombezi Bay have been partners since the park’s opening in 2008. Over 17 years, ProSlide has contributed several standout attractions, including a high-speed ProRACER, two CannonBOWL 40s, a PIPEline, MAMMOTH, TWISTER, and one of the world’s most iconic water rides, the TORNADO 60. In 2025, the partnership reached a new milestone with the opening of the Conservation Tower expansion, which features the world’s first Matting RallyRACER® with FlyingSAUCER® 8, the TornadoWAVE® 12 / TORNADO® 18 SwitchBACK, and two of North America’s first HIVE 20 rides.

Through its ongoing collaboration with ProSlide, Zoombezi Bay continues to offer award-winning rides while expanding into deeper storytelling and design experiences.
