In 2024, Idaho’s Silverwood Theme Park officially opened its most recent expansion at Boulder Beach: Emerald Forest. This newest addition features two new, state-of-the-art ProSlide attractions that are setting new records for the water park industry in the United States. Eagle Hunt and Salmon Run promise visitors a truly exciting experience with their innovative technology and unique thrill-factors.
Eagle Hunt, Dueling RocketBLAST Water Coaster
Eagle Hunt is the longest Dueling RocketBLAST water coaster in the Northwestern United States, running 925 feet in length (per lane). The water coaster features eight ProSlide BLAST sections and six FlyingSAUCER 30s in total, promising riders an experience packed with incredible turns, drops and propulsions.
In a unique twist on interactivity, guests race down the dual flumes to catch their “prey”, bringing a competitive edge to the ride experience. Before descending, racers select their prey and are allotted a specific timeframe to reach the end of the ride; if they don’t make it before their time is up, the prey escapes. Coupled with ProSlide’s Shadow Effects, guests truly feel as though they are soaring through the forest on the hunt.
Salmon Run, KIDZ Complex
Salmon Run is a vibrant KIDZ complex designed for children and their families. The complex hosts eight ProSlide slides: two designed for slightly older adventurers and six medium-sized slides. The two slides found in the middle of the complex are a KIDZ version of ProSlide’s signature OctopusRACER. Like Eagle Hunt, Salmon Run uses theming to enhance guest experience; all slides are designed with fun, vibrant colours that are inspired by fish found in the lakes of Northern Idaho.
ProSlide’s BLAST Technology
Eagle Hunt uses ProSlide’s advanced water propulsion technology to deliver an unforgettable ride experience. This high-pressure technology can push boats higher, faster and longer, offering 50% steeper inclines while simultaneously using 60% less power compared to traditional technology.
