Rulantica is a sprawling, indoor water park located in Rust, Germany that pushes every perceived boundary of what indoor water parks can be.

About

Rulantica opened in 2019 with a vision of creating an underwater water park adventure for children and adults of all ages. The park is a breathtaking 32,600 m2 oasis that integrates world-class mythologically inspired Scandinavian theming to create a truly immersive experience. Rulantica is part of Europa-Park, the world’s largest seasonal theme park, which is home to over 100 attractions and shows, 17 water rides, 13 roller coasters and 5 resort hotels.

Relationship

Rulantica is the first collaboration between ProSlide and Germany’s leading theme park, Europa-Park. ProSlide developed an industry leading ride mix of seven high-performance ProSlide water rides and attractions and worked closely with Europa-Park to weave world-class theming into the rides throughout the park. Many of ProSlide’s signature attractions are seamlessly integrated into the immersive environment and combined with the stunning architecture to create a truly transformational indoor water park.

Opportunities

After the success of the initial ride mix, Europa-Park again turned to ProSlide to custom design a new family attraction and the first located outside the park. In 2021, Rulantica opened an instantly iconic Custom RideHOUSE installation. As one of the most talked about and anticipated expansions of the year, the new aquatic play structure was completely customized to depict an awe-inspiring aquatic battle between the sea serpent Svalgur and a giant octopus – actually an expertly themed ProSlide Continuous BodyBOWL. In addition to massive tentacles that encircle the structure, an astounding 10 tracks of high-performance ProSlide water rides – with a competitive two-lane ProRACER®, three TWISTERS and four KIDZ TWISTERS – fill out the spectacular ride mix. Intricate theming details like hand-painted water slides, a tipping bucket appearing to be constructed from fish bones and hand-carved Viking shields cement that the RideHOUSE®’s fantasy experience is fully realized.
