Water World Lloret de Mar in Catalonia, Spain, has water park enthusiasts of all ages covered with their most recent kids complex expansion: Tornado Land. In partnership with ProSlide Technology for their second collaboration together, the park oversaw the opening of 8 different children’s slides. Among these exciting attractions, two groundbreaking additions entered the mix: the EMEA’s very first FlyingSAUCER 8 and the world’s first Kids Double TornadoWAVE.
ProSlide’s FlyingSAUCER
ProSlide’s traditional FlyingSAUCER is designed to mimic the thrills of ski racing, where guests get to experience high-speed turns as they swoop along the outer edge of the SAUCER’s disc. The newest innovation, the FlyingSAUCER 8, reimagines this design in miniature form for younger adventurers, allowing them to now partake in the same fun and excitement but in a safer and age-appropriate format. The debut of this ride marks its entry into the water park industry in the EMEA.
ProSlide’s Double TornadoWAVE
The Double TornadoWAVE 60, another iconic ProSlide attraction, offers guests an unparalleled opportunity to experience zero-gravity forces as they ascend two massive back-to-back Tornado walls. This ride captures the exhilarating sensation of weightlessness and is a must-try for thrill-seekers. Like the FlyingSAUCER 8, the Double TornadoWAVE has been redesigned on a smaller scale in order to accommodate younger water park goers. Now, they are able to experience the same exciting thrills, but in a safer and more controlled environment. This innovation is the first of its kind in the world.
The Tornado Land kids area is one of the first of its kind in the EMEA and is positioning Water World Lloret de Mar to become a premium destination for families in Spain. The expansion invites children of all ages to partake in the fun at their own comfort level, with a range of slides from simple to daring.
