June 20, 2025 – Powell, Ohio – Zoombezi Bay, one of the Midwest’s most beloved water parks, officially opens its newest expansion today: Conservation Tower. Anchored by the world’s first HIVE™ 20 water ride from ProSlide, this dynamic addition blends cutting-edge ride design with the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium’s mission-driven storytelling.
Developed through a 17-year partnership, Conservation Tower features three immersive ProSlide-powered attractions, each inspired by themes of conservation and environmental impact. Leading the expansion is The Hive, the world’s first pair of HIVE™ 20 features that send riders through high-speed, high-G helix turns and sweeping panoramic views in an unforgettable ride experience.

The new Conservation Tower includes:
- The Hive – Two HIVE™ 20 features that plunge guests into an electrifying 360-degree journey through high-G spirals, mimicking the motion and energy of a buzzing beehive.
- Mussel Mayhem – Featuring the TornadoWAVE® 12 / TORNADO® 18 SwitchBACK, this combo packs Midwest-first excitement in a twisting tribute to freshwater mussel conservation.
- Captina Falls – The world’s first Matting RallyRACER® with FlyingSAUCER® 8 features, offering excitement in a fast-paced, side-by-side mat racer format.
