August 11, 2026 — Vila-seca, Spain —PortAventura World has opened Coral Bay, a new expansion at Caribe Aquatic Park in Spain featuring a ProSlide-exclusive lineup of water rides and attractions for kids and families.
The new area brings two notable ProSlide firsts to the park: the world’s first HIVE 6 and Europe’s first ProSlide KIDZ Coaster. Alongside them, a new KIDZ Adventure Tower and Spray Park add even more ways for younger guests to experience the water park.
The World’s First HIVE 6
Making its global debut at Coral Bay, HIVE 6 brings body sliding to ProSlide’s HIVE family for the first time.
The new ride takes the distinctive form of HIVE 20 (tubing format) and HIVE 35 (family raft ride) and creates an experience built specifically for body riders. Its debut expands the HIVE family into a new ride category and gives parks another way to bring the feature into their attraction mix.
For guests at Caribe Aquatic Park, it means they’re the first in the world to experience it.
A Water Coaster Built for Kids
Coral Bay is also home to Europe’s first ProSlide KIDZ Coaster, bringing the excitement of a water coaster to younger riders. Designed specifically for children transitioning from smaller attractions to larger, adrenaline-fueled rides, KIDZ Coaster delivers rollercoaster-like sensations and G-forces with a family-friendly twist. The ride is paired with a TORNADO 24 finish for a standout attraction at the center of the new area.
The rest of Coral Bay continues that focus on younger guests and families. A new KIDZ Adventure Tower features a FlyingSAUCER 8, KIDZ TWISTER and two-lane Body RallyRACER, while a dedicated Spray Park adds interactive water play to the lineup.
The ride mix gives families plenty of choice, from water play and introductory rides to racing, signature features, and a kid-sized water coaster.
A Partnership Dating Back to 2001
ProSlide and PortAventura World first worked together in 2001, beginning a relationship that now spans 25 years. That history made Caribe Aquatic Park a fitting home for the debut of HIVE 6 and another major ProSlide first in Europe.
