Throughout its history, ProSlide has established an unmatched lineage of water ride innovation. The company has seen a wide variety of their rides and ride categories make an impact on parks around the world and one ride category that has made an indelible impact is the ProSlide racer – a traditionally high-speed body or mat slide that pits riders against each other in a race to the finish. Leading the charge for ProSlide is the high-performance RallyRACER® which debuted at Hersheypark in Hershey, Pennsylvania in 2018.
RallyPOINTS ENHANCE THE RACE
Establishing the competitive ride experience right from the outset, RallyRACER® riders launch themselves into a head-to-head racing start. As they speed through the flume, riders approach multiple sections with ProSlide’s patented RallyPOINTS™. These sections of u-shaped flume and low divider walls are strategically placed at key touchpoints in the ride path and allow riders to see and hear their competition throughout the ride. With the heightened competitive experience created by RallyPOINTS™, the RallyRACER® provides parks with a thrilling attraction that guarantees repeat ridership as guests continuously compete for that first-place finish.
CUTTING-EDGE RallyRACER® ADDS TO 100-YEAR-OLD-LEGACY
Upping their high-performance entertainment for guests with a one-of-a-kind RallyRACER is Waldameer Park & Water World in Erie, Pennsylvania. The legendary 100-year-old amusement and water park looked to take advantage of more exciting slide designs that have come about in recent years and felt it was time for an upgrade. Waldameer replaced two of its existing speed slides from the 1980s with a cutting-edge, six-lane RallyRACER® from ProSlide. Waldameer’s RallyRACER® stands at 48-feet tall and includes an astounding 2,365 feet of track length (each lane is 394 feet) with multiple twists and turns.
RACING TOWARDS ATLANTIS
One of the most talked about projects in the industry, the world-record expansion Atlantis Aquaventure Phase 3 at Dubai’s Atlantis the Palm, will also play host to a ProSlide RallyRACER® in 2021. One other ride that will incorporate the patented RallyRACER® technology feature, RallyPOINTS™, will be the Dueling PIPElineBLAST®.
