ProSlide innovation sets a new global water park standard with expansion at Atlantis Aquaventure Dubai
With over 1.3 million annual visitors in 2019 according to AECOM and TEA, Aquaventure’s expansion has been the most ambitious in the world. Located adjacent to a kilometer-long beachfront, the additional 3Ha increased the water park’s size to 12Ha and has brought together an unprecedented vision for entertainment and ProSlide’s newest technology. With 17 high-performance water rides – along with multiple region and world’s firsts – Atlantis, The Palm has created an incredible experience exclusive to Aquaventure that changes the landscape of the entire water ride industry .

World's First MammothBLAST Water Coaster
The MammothBLAST utilizes a new vehicle innovated specifically for this ride, the 5-person Low Center of Gravity (LCG) raft. The vehicle seats riders in a face-to-face configuration that, seeing the expression on each other’s faces, allows riders a greater opportunity to share the experience of this high-performing family ride.
Racing Redefined
Trident Tower also features the award-winning Dueling PIPElineBLAST®/FlyingSAUCER® 20, otherwise known as Medusa’s Lair. The ride’s head-to-head positioning brings the unique feel of competitive racing to the world of water coasters and the 1.05m height requirement makes it accessible to a wide guest demographic.
Also making its debut in the region is ProSlide’s RallyRACER®, known as ‘Hydra Racers’. Featuring patented RallyPOINTS, riders can see and hear their competition at strategically placed sections of u-shaped flume with low-divider walls. This high-output racer has an hourly ride capacity of up to 900 riders and stimulates repeat ridership by promoting the thrill of competition with each race.

The rides in Splasher’s Cove are the perfect introduction for future thrill seekers in that they’re smaller than the adult rides, but larger than the ProSlide’s KIDZ rides in Splasher’s Lagoon. World-renowned names like the KIDZ PIPEline, KIDZ ProRACER®, and KIDZ BOWL are purposefully redesigned to be larger and suit the unique demographics of the KAT’s riders. Chief among the rides on the KAT is the new KIDZ RallyRACER® which brings a competitive water-racing experience to young riders for the first time. Utilizing a patented RallyPOINT® – portion of u-shaped flume with low divider walls – that appears during the ride, riders can see and hear their competition as they race side-by-side.
The exclusive design merges the excitement and action of the original RallyRACER with the industry-leading design considerations present in ProSlide’s KIDZ rides. With an abundance of smaller rides, Splasher’s Cove (and the KIDZ Zone Splasher’s Lagoon) functions as a water park within a water park and the perfect attraction for kids and families. Atlantis’ new expansion translates to 37% of the park’s capacity now being dedicated to kids and demonstrates the importance of the family demographic.
