Washing and Waxing Procedure

  1. When performing any maintenance procedures be sure to exercise caution and initiate all safety measures appropriate for each individual task.
  2. With a soft broom remove all debris from the entire water ride.
  3. Wash and rinse the entire water ride thoroughly from top to bottom using a non-abrasive cleaning agent such as automotive or marine soap. This should be paired with non-abrasive cleaning tools like soft mops, rags or sponges. A pressure washer can be used for the ride exterior at a pressure less than 2000 psi. Non-skid and walking surfaces can be cleaned with a soft-bristle brush.
  4. When the cleaning is complete, the entire ride should be examined for discoloration, stains or damage. Address each issue as needed.
  5. Once the ride has been examined, apply a coat of high quality automotive/marine wax with UV protectant. Care must be exercised to follow all manufacturer’s instructions when applying the wax.

Steve Avery

Vice President, Business Development - APAC

As ProSlide’s vice president of business development for the Asia-Pacific region with an 18-year tenure at ProSlide, Steve has had the pleasure of building strong relationships with our Korean partners. Since 2006, he has been sharing his deep knowledge and experience with water parks around the world, helping operators and owners make informed decisions about their water park’s future.

Steve joined ProSlide as a field services technician in 2006 where he quickly rose through the ranks, taking on roles such as senior technical advisor, ride verification specialist, and global customer success manager.

His experience spans projects in various regions including Southeast Asia, China, Europe, Australia, and the United States. Steve has contributed to legendary water parks like Aquatopia in Hon Thom Island, Resorts World in Malaysia, and Universal Volcano Bay in Orlando.

Business Development Representative - APAC

Kate Loan has been with ProSlide for three years as a business development representative focusing on APAC. Before joining ProSlide, Kate was part of the procurement team at The Amazing Bay in Vietnam.
