As Engineering Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination of engineering activities and documentation related to the design and construction of water slide projects. You will be the technical contact for multiple engineering projects and will interact with project managers, clients, sub-contractors, and consultants to deliver quality solutions on time and on budget.
Your Challenge:
- Prepare 3D AutoCAD drawings of ride support structures as well as coordination drawings detailing requirements for clients and sub-contractors
- Gather and organize all information pertinent to the implementation of contract scope of work
- Gather, prepare, and distribute all information pertaining to the proposal and engineering drawings, including coordination with architects and engineers of various disciplines
- Coordinate with design and engineering teams to ensure design specifications and procedures are adhered to
- Generate project bill of materials and project-specific construction and installation drawings
- Maintain contact with suppliers and sub-contractors throughout the project in order to provide Project Managers with accurate real time information regarding budget and schedule
- Make full use of CAD system to develop and propose new techniques and processes to improve productivity
- Participate in project quality plans as necessary – shop drawing reviews, source inspections, factory acceptance testing, etc.
What You Bring to the Role:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Technologist Diploma in Engineering or Applied Science
- 5+ years of work experience in an engineering or construction team
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiasm for collaborative work as part of a team
- Ability to meet deadlines coupled with strong time management and organizational skills
- Experience with AutoCAD (proficiency an asset)
- Experience with SolidWorks and/or surveying preferred
