 Market Research Specialist

ProSlide Technology is looking for an analytical and dynamic Market Research Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, fluid environment!

The Market Research Specialist will play a key role in the research and analysis of our business market and industry. They will provide in-depth market research, insights and recommendations, resulting from efficient and effective aggregation of various types of market data across all products.

This role is ideal for someone who is: not afraid to roll up their sleeves to improve processes to get desired results, a strong communicator, and a critical thinker with the ability to translate complex information and results into recommendations.

YOUR CHALLENGE:

  • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis on industry trends, market drivers and competitive landscape
  • Conduct product competitive analysis
  • Perform open source intelligence (OSINT) research on competitor’s organizational structures, their market strategies, capital structure and effectiveness in the marketplace.
  • Interpret, document and communicate industry trends, both short & long-term, that will have the potential to positively or negatively impact product offerings, service delivery and/or operations.
  • Work closely with Product Management to provide data and market facts to support business case development.
  • Support Sales & Product Management teams with market intelligence to enhance “Go to Market” strategies.
  • Working with Sales to provide persona and buyer purchasing profiles
  • Monitor press releases, trade magazines and commercial internet sites for industry news that may be relevant to ProSlide’s business endeavors and strategies.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining research tools, methodologies and processes
  • Continually develop, enhance, remain current and leverage knowledge of the industry, this includes:
    • Keeping up to date with trends in the marketplace
    • Understanding demographics of the different geographical areas
    • Maintains ongoing relationships with key resource external/internal
    • Upholding strong knowledge of key industry indicators

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Commerce Degree specializing in market research or an equivalent in Economics, Marketing or Social Sciences.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in a market research role
  • Strong working knowledge of research strategies, methodologies and reference sources
  • Ability to construct a meaningful story from the data to drive impact
  • Strong background with research analytics and being able to identify real insight from data using analytical methods
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to tailor presentations and conversations to different audiences
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced dynamic environment.
