Installation Services Technician

Installation Services Technicians will be deployed to international customer sites to manage and complete our product installation process.  Ability to build on-site customer relationships is critical for this role.  Training and installation planning will be based at our Ottawa office with deployment to international locations including, but not limited to, Asia, Europe, and South America.  Deployments will be up to eight (8) weeks in duration, with home leaves to Ottawa managed between installation projects.

Your Challenge

  • On-site unloading and positioning of trucks.
  • Preassemble and erection of all fiberglass flume sections
  • Preassemble and erect all ride support sections including columns, radial arms and yokes on foundations and concrete piers.
  • Connecting of yoke plates to radial arms/embedment plates by welding the connection
  • Build the water ride tower in accordance of engineering drawings
  • Pouring concrete for tower landing platforms, decks and pans
  • Painting of Steel columns, towers and start platforms
  • Build and connect conveyor systems when applicable.; including installation of conveyor control panel, sensors and final termination of all low voltage connections at each devise
  • Moving light equipment into position such as rigging, cribbing and scaffolding
  • Problem solve any technical issues
  • Repairing of leaks or gelcoat chips and cracks.
  • Cleaning of the interior and exterior of the slide. Wash and wax the interior of the slide for public use

What You Bring to the Role

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction activities
  • Valid Working From Heights Certification is consider an asset
  • Any other additional safety training such as CPR, Hoisting and Rigging, etc is considered an asset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Hands on experience in a field/trades environment
  • Heavy equipment operation experience an asset
  • Ability to read and interpret specification and schematic drawings
  • Experience in supervision/leadership roles is considered an asset but not a requirement
  • Willingness to work as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills are required
  • Must have a valid Passport
  • No travel location restrictions
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively and work extra time as the need arises.
