HydroMAGNETIC MAMMOTH™/TORNADO™ 60 Hybrid

Samsung Caribbean Bay, South Korea

Double The Fun At Caribbean Bay.

New Mega Storm hybrid ride delivers an adrenaline rush in South Korea.

When you’re South Korea’s largest water park and one of the top 10 in the world, offering dozens of rides and attracting nearly 1.5 million water park visitors a year, what can you do to capture your guests’ attention and to celebrate your 20th anniversary at the same time?

Twice the experience

If you’re Caribbean Bay – in Yongin, South Korea – one ride is not enough. So, you combine two industry-leading rides into a single epic experience.

The new Mega Storm opened on September 2015 and is, in fact, a hybrid of two massive rides put together. On their own, these rides are impressive. But when you put them together, you get a full minute of intense adrenaline rush that you can’t get anywhere else.

Popularity has its perks

In the months following the ride’s opening, it was even more popular than the Caribbean Bay management team had expected. To meet the huge demand, Mega Storm was kept open for a month longer than usual.

Nearly a year later, Mega Storm continues to be the most popular ride in the park. No other ride comes close to the level of thrill and intensity that Mega Storm delivers.

The new ride also helped Caribbean Bay to reach the winner’s podium; they were recently recognized by the World Waterpark Association (WWA) with an Executive Board Award, given to organizations in the water leisure industry that have achieved a special accomplishment.

“Mega Storm was so popular, we kept it and the lazy river open for an extra month.”
