Applications Support Specialist

Technical aptitude with exceptional customer service skills

We are looking for a motivated software Applications Support Specialist to join our Information Technology team! You will ensure end users have optimum support utilizing ProSlide hosted and Cloud applications and service offerings.  You will coordinate the implementation, documentation, training and maintenance of existing and new application deployments.

You are technical and determined to provide exceptional customer service. You are a clear communicator and excel at helping people use applications in the way they were intended to and to their full capability.  You are described as resourceful, a self-starter and thrive on quality results.

You will:

  • Provide Tier 1 applications support through the Help Desk
  • Work with various internal departments and external vendors to understand reported application issues and resolve root cause (s)
  • Participate in new application projects from initial implementation to go-live
  • Design and deliver training to end users on applications features and processes
  • Prepare and provide detailed documentation
  • Oversee configuration changes for internal departments
  • Provide support for testing new applications/modules in development or consideration of purchase
  • Develop productivity and service metrics to measure application performance and effectiveness
  • Conduct regular analysis of existing ProSlide business requirements and make recommendations for applications improvements to enhance productivity, security, performance
  • Maintain user authentication lists and authorization groups in systems and applications
  • Support system audits by maintaining accurate and comprehensive documentation

You have:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a system administration, software application specialist, preferably in an engineering environment
  • Previous experience providing end user support from an applications and devices standpoint.
  • Experience installing and configuring hosted and/or Cloud-based enterprise applications.
  • Experience working with a variety of applications environments including financial systems, business intelligence systems and productivity applications.
  • Self-motivated and focused with a passion for technology and ensuring the best customer experience
  • Solution-orientated and the ability to think critically and troubleshoot complex problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present technical information in an understandable form for a non-technical audience
  • Ability to manage workload, prioritize requests and meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and mange responsibilities independently
  • Naturally thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
